Research / Market intelligence

Every prospect needs
a reason to be contacted.

An account name is a starting point. We look for the fit, timing, and context that make a conversation reasonable.

From an observation to a decision

Build a record
you can question.

DFM’s campaign material uses funding intelligence, hiring activity, role confirmation, and contact verification. Each tells us something different.

01

Fit

Does the company match the agreed market and delivery capability?

02

Timing

Is there a verifiable change that connects to the offer?

03

Ownership

Who is responsible for the problem, and is their role current?

ACCOUNT RESEARCH / RECORD STRUCTUREILLUSTRATIVE
Account fit
Sector · team size · geography · relevant use case
Observed signal
A recent funding announcement
Evidence
Source URL, announcement date, and date checked
Working hypothesis
Product growth may create an engineering capacity gap
Counter-evidence
An internal team may already cover that capacity
Relevant buyer
Current owner of product or engineering delivery
Contact status
Role and address require verification
Decision
Hold until fit, evidence, and contact checks pass
What would disqualify this account?

An unsupported signal, a mismatch with delivery capability, the wrong geography, or a problem that has already been solved. An exclusion should have a recorded reason.

What belongs in the message?

The relevant observation, a tentative connection to the buyer’s work, and a useful next step. Unverified assumptions remain questions.

A signal supports
a hypothesis.

Recent funding can justify further research. It cannot, on its own, prove that a company needs outsourced engineering or is ready to buy. We keep the observation and the inference separate.

Read: a signal is not intent
